Description
This Mod Skips you having to console command a new Skyrim Timescale every time you begin a new game.
For some reason a simple and good timescale mod does not exist in the modding community. All are either broken or more complicated than it needs be.
This mod very simply "copy as overwrite" Skyrim's original timescale from Skyrim.ESM, and changes the value to either 15/10/6. Comes as FOMOD for which option to select
Mod has been tested and works exactly as should.
Why it's needed
Vanilla Skyrim was fine for 20 timescale as there was little but quests to do. Playing Modded Skyrim is a different world. Modded Skyrim has much more depth and everything takes much longer to do. Hence changing timescale becomes a requirement for the most immersive experience.
It's a known fact that playing below 6 Timescale is vulnerable to breaking AI and Quests. 6 is the lowest safepoint.
The option of which timescale to play at entirely depends on the speed at which a player progresses through the game.
Use the Skyrim Timescale Stats Table I have created to see which ones applies to you the most.
Skyrim Timescale Stats:
20 Timescale
60 Seconds Game Minute = 3 Seconds IRL
60 Minutes Game Hour = 03 Minutes IRL
16 Hours Game Day = 0 Hour 48 Minutes IRL
15 Timescale
60 Seconds Game Minute = 4 Seconds IRL
60 Minutes Game Hour = 04 Minutes IRL
16 Hours Game = 1 Hour 04 Minutes IRL
15 Timescale is there for the players who don't bother with survival systems slowing them down and prefer to fast travel their way through the game.
10 Timescale
60 Seconds Game Minute = 6 Seconds IRL
60 Minutes Game Hour = 06 Minutes IRL
16 Hours Game Day = 1 Hour 36 Minutes IRL
10 Timescale is the most balanced and most preferred by the general players. It is that mix between a take it slow, and take it quick gameplay style.
06 Timescale
60 Seconds Game Minute = 10 Seconds IRL
60 Minutes Game Hour = 10 Minutes IRL
16 Hours Game Day = 2 Hour 40 Minutes IRL
6 Timescale is for the hardcore players who don't use fast travel and are looking for the realistic Skyrim experience. Eat/bathe/sleep/drink/brew/temper/chat/sit/sight seeing, there is zero rush, and with 6 timescale the day moves naturally to this gameplay style.
